Dear Dothan First Family –

With news surrounding the coronavirus, we want you to know that it is

currently safe to attend our church services.  We encourage you to

continue to pray for those affected by Covid-19 around the world.

Currently, Alabama has not reported any confirmed cases. Dothan First

continues to stay aware of the latest information from public health

professionals from the World Health Organization (WHO), Centers for Disease Control (CDC), State Department, and the Alabama Department of Health to ensure we are aware of the most recent updates on Covid-19 and how to best respond for your safety.

Here are some basic precautions and actions we encourage you to take during this time:

· Build up your immune system by eating right, exercising, and drinking plenty of water.

· Wash your hands for 20 seconds with soap and warm water throughout the day or use some type of hand sanitizer.

· Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands.

· Avoid sharing cups, bottles, and utensils with others.

· Cover your nose and mouth with a tissue when you cough or sneeze.

· If you are experiencing flu / cold-like symptoms, you

should stay home. If your condition worsens, see your medical doctor or

emergency clinic and please send us a prayer request so we can pray for

your healing.

You’re an important part of our Dothan First family and we want you

to stay connected during this time. For updates, live streaming, or

online giving, you can connect with us on our website at or follow us on Facebook and Instagram.

We want you to know that the health and safety of our Dothan First

family is our priority. We have implemented the following to increase

awareness and protect our church community while on campus:

· Making touchpoints (i.e. door handles, crash bars,

counters, handrails, countertops, children’s areas, toys, etc.) a high

priority for extra cleaning and disinfecting.  (See below for our

additional children’s ministries precautions)

· Placing additional hand sanitizer stations for use throughout our meeting spaces.

· Providing extra tissue boxes throughout our facility.

We will continue to update you with our latest information and any

changes about our gatherings and events as we monitor this fluid

situation.  If there is ever a possibility of compromising your safety,

we will act appropriately according to the recognized health agencies of

the nation and state. Please join us in praying for God to give

supernatural guidance to those in charge of both medical and

governmental agencies during this crisis.

Today, and every day, we put our trust in our ALWAYS faithful God. We

don’t allow fear or worry to control our lives, but we will continue to

live every day under the covering of God’s amazing love!

We love you all!

Proverbs 3:5-6 (GNT)

Trust in the Lord with all your heart. Never rely on what you think

you know. Remember the Lord in everything you do, and he will show you

the right way.

From the children’s ministries of Dothan First –

Parents, Grandparents, Family Members…

Your children’s safety and health have always been of the utmost

importance to us here at Dothan First. Cleaning and disinfecting of all

surfaces, toys, etc. have taken place after each service or event that

occurs at the church. Due to the threat of this new virus, we have

increased our disinfecting routine, and we have chosen to clean and

disinfect our toys and surfaces throughout the service as well.

We have always advised that children with cold/flu-like symptoms

(coughing, sneezing, runny nose, etc.) not be put in Kids church or

Nursery. If they have had a fever in the past 24 hours, they’re not

permitted to check into those areas. For this season, in order to

prevent the spread of germs, we ask that you please keep your children

at home if they show any signs of sickness.

We so appreciate all the families of Dothan First, and pray for your

health, safety, and well-being, and we sincerely thank you for your
